Voting
The guild utilizes various forms of voting to ensure that every member's voice is heard. One of the primary methods is through the issuance of NFTs, specifically the Knight Series/Complete Knight NFTs, on a to-be-developed voting platform. It is important to note that owners of assets that are staked by default do not have voting power. Instead, the Guild Leadership vote will take responsibility for the decision of staked assets. However, asset stakers may hold voting power in certain cases, provided they meet a certain criterion and under specific conditions.
Asset Group Voting: Each asset group within the guild will have independent voting, with the relevant Complete Knights NFT Leadership always contributing to the asset group vote. Additionally, asset stakers, players, and 'others' will also contribute to the vote. Examples of what will be voted on include reward framework, treasury distribution and spending, and asset management. In most cases, the vote will be weighted, with Guild Leadership having increased voting power to maintain the overarching strategy and values of the guild.
Player Voting: Each member player of the guild will have a Knight Player NFT, which they can use for voting purposes. Prior to the vote, a snapshot of the player's activity will be pulled from the API to judge if the player is active. Only active players will get a vote.
Leadership Voting: The Round Table, Knight Generals, and Knight Commanders have the responsibility of maintaining the guild's vision and values. The Leadership vote will take place independently, and the outcome will be transferred to the open vote as per the predefined percentage. As the Leadership expands, a weighting for ranks may be incorporated.
The Knights Guild values every member's opinion, and we believe that our voting system promotes inclusivity, fairness, and transparency. By giving every member a voice, we are confident that we can build a stronger, more cohesive community that is committed to the success of Cornucopias Game.
